Now is the time to start planning a clean-up—and I don’t mean a beach clean-up, although that’s a worthwhile endeavor.  I mean a body clean-up.  If you’re like most people, you have an accumulation of toxins in your body.

Just like your car needs periodic oil and filter changes, your body needs periodic detoxification to clear out the toxins that have accumulated.  If you feel progressively sluggish, tired, achy and run down, and are having weight problems, maybe it’s time for your filter to be cleaned.

Not only is a good detoxification essential for your overall good health, most people lose weight during the process.  We’ve seen as much as an 11 pound loss in the course of our weeklong Core Restore Biotransformation program.

Think about it–we expose ourselves to potentially harmful substances every day. We apply them to our skin in the form of body products and cosmetics. We breathe them in our polluted air, household cleaning products and cars.  We also ingest them. Within our lifetime we will consume between 30 and 50 tons of food.

Your liver has to cope with artificial food additives, colors, flavors, pesticides and preservatives. There are also the hormones and antibiotics used in most of the meat and poultry on the market.  When that food contains the large amount of toxins and pesticides that exist today, the burden placed on your liver is too great.  The toxins have to go somewhere and end up in the fat cells of your body.

By detoxifying these chemicals through a process of “biotransformation,” you can mobilize the toxins from your body fat, transform it, and get it out of your body through natural processes of excretion.

Little did I know when I sent out my blog last week about taking a hip hop class for fun that there actually is scientific evidence about the value of dance in preventing cognitive decline.
