Not really, but see what she means below:
If you think that health insurers, hospitals, and big pharma are going to keep you healthy, think again. What is their motivation? Do you think it’s your health and well-being? It’s profits. Preventing disease and keeping you healthy doesn’t generate profits, so how could they stay in business?
Take diabetes for example. A very low carbohydrate diet combined with healthy fats and proteins would put the diabetes industry out of business. The American Diabetic Association (ADA) diet is promoted by doctors and hospitals as THE guideline for diabetics. It has large amounts of carbohydrates. This means that diabetics will continue to need their diabetes medications, hospitals will generate income from complications of diabetes and dialysis centers will continue to pop up on every corner to care for diabetics who have kidney failure as a result of poorly controlled blood sugar.
The next generation of youth will provide the patients and the profits for all of the diabetes driven health care industries. Youth are developing type 2 diabetes at an alarming rate due to poor diet, inactivity, and probably environmental toxins. This will provide huge profits for the pharmaceutical industry, dialysis companies, and hospitals.
So, what’s the insider tip? Not to invest in dialysis centers or pharmaceutical companies. Invest in yourself. Take the time and effort to get on a low carb diet. Even if you are not diabetic, your mind, body and health will improve.
